A few years ago, just minding my own business, I came across this article from the Weather channel.

BUGS, THE FOOD OF THE FUTURE. Then THIS from Bloomberg.

I was shocked and mentioned it to my family. They were a bit concerned, but really thought nothing about it. I guess it was too far out there and they were used to me sounding the alarm over things that may not happen for a long time.

My son said he didn’t want to eat bugs. I comforted him that it could be a while. I predicted a few things would have to happen first before we are made to eat bugs. For one,we would be sold on their health benefits and how great they taste AND we would see a tax specifically on meat.

Fast forward to just a few days ago, we were listening to the radio and the DJ was talking about the HEALTH BENEFITS OF DRINKING GRASSHOPPER JUICE. Oh yum.

Even my favorite health newsletter Dr. Mercola had an article about how COCK ROACH MILK WAS A SUPERFOOD. No Thanks!

My family also likes to occasionally watch youtube celebrities Rhett and Link who repeat the mantra that bugs are the food of the future.

Are you starting to see something that really has NO PUBLIC INTEREST is now becoming a regular topic in the American culture? I mean, why are THEY talking about eating bugs, it’s not like anybody WANTS to eat bugs.

Then today, I saw this link shared on facebook. GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WOLD ARE CONSIDERING A TAX ON MEAT TO CURB CLIMATE CHANGE.

So, tell me what you think? Do you think bugs will be on the menu soon? Are you looking forward to eating bugs? Do you think it can’t happen in America? Or do you think it’s a bunch of garbage? Leave a comment in the comment section below.
